1990/G Classic 900 Carlsson
we can build you the ultimate Carlsson!
This car is partially stripped to enable a close examination of the chassis and inner structure. It is very, very good!
The engine/gearbox/wiring/steering rack etc have all been removed, and there are no major corrosion issues found anywhere.
All side body panels and wheel arch trims have been removed and the wheel arches, doors etc are also all good. The bumpers have been removed and loosly refitted, again the front and rear structures are sound, as is the boot floor.
The interior was removed and floor examined, again all good.
We are offering this car for sale as a complete restoration project.
It is our aim to make this the very best example of the classic 900 Carlsson that is available anywhere.
We will build this car to order, and we prefer to build it to original specification.
The car will feature:
Rust-free bonnet, bootlid and doors.
Removal of windscreen and rust preventitive treatment applied to windscreen surround.
Any corrosion areas found will be professionally cut out- replaced and finished to the highest standards.
Everything removed from the bodyshell and the bodyshell given a full quality repaint, including engine bay, inside boot, door shuts, inner doors, tailgate and bonnet.
The bodyshell will then be fully rust proofed using Waxoyl and Dinatrol, in/on all the seams, box sections, door inners, chassis, inner arches, etc..
The genuine Saab Carlsson bodykit will also be repainted and correctly fitted.
New Carlsson body decals will be applied.
The wheels will be professionally refurbished, and fitted with new tyres.
Cruise control will be fully functioning as will central locking.
Electric mirrors will be fully refurbished to as new.
Replacement window motors and regulators and switches.
Headlamps will be replaced with bright silver items.
All lenses replaced with as new items, and bulbs replaced.
The braking system will be fully overhauled with new discs, calipers, pads, hoses, pipes and new fresh fluid used.
The suspension componetry will all be removed and replaced with new or refurbished components, including springs, shocks, anti-roll bars, axle, tie bars etc etc. All new bushings will be used including polybushes where necessary.
The gearbox will be professionally rebuilt (this is the correct type 8 Carlsson gearbox!)
The engine will be removed and fully serviced, anything needing replacing will be replaced, including samco hoses. Waterpump, headgasket, timing chain etc will be replaced as a matter of course. Oil cooler, radiator, intercooler etc will also all be replaced.
Cam cover, inlet manifold and intercooler pipes will be refurbished.
A new exhaust system fitted, including the Carlsson twin pipe tailpipe.
Inside a crack free dashboard will be fitted, along with excellent condition carpets, door cards, all interior fittings.
The seats will be wear free and fully supportive, and in excellent condition.
The headlining will be fully retrimmed, including the sunroof area.
A full photographic record of the restoration will be included with the car.
Naturally the car will be supplied with 12 months MoT and 12 months Tax.
Price to bring this car to standard specification in the condition as described above will be £19995
The car is in it's original white colour scheme, but we could repaint it in any genuine Carlsson colour (eg white, red or black). The original V5 is with the car, and that states the car as white.
In addition we can 'upgrade' several features for additional cost, such as fit the 16" Carlsson alloy wheels or fit an excellent condition leather interior. Any 'upgrades' will cost extra.
